Wallace E. Heling, 88, of Howards Grove, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Wallace was born August 10, 1928, in Sheboygan, to the late Edward and Marie (Parmalee) Heling. On November 20, 1948, he married the former Leona Grunewald in Sheboygan. He was long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove. Wallace worked various farm jobs, was employed by the Kohler Company, worked for and later owned the Howards Grove Auto Body. He later was employed by Bitter Neumann.
Wallace was kind, friendly and enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed spending time with is family, dancing, especially polka, traveling and his many summer trips to his Branson home. He also enjoyed collector cars. In his later years, he could be found on his front porch, waving to everyone.
In addition to his wife, Leona, he is survived by his children, David (Myra) Heling, Connie Heling, Allen (Sue) Heling, Betty (Mike) Butzen, Larry (Denise) Heling and John Heling (Kevin Hollfelder); grandchildren, Elissa (Jeremy) Nesemann, Emily (Christopher) Cyr, Alex (Autumn) Heling, Carlton Heling, Lucas Heling, Kay (Mike) Gonnering, Kelly (Jeff) Muelhbauer, Karie (Jeremy) Ladwig, Amy (Taylor) Horness, Heidi (Wade) Georgeff, Lori (Ryan) Duening, Andrew (Ashley) Heling, Jayson (Jennifer) Brendel, Jodie Brendel, Jeremy (Melissa) Brendel, Jackie Brendel (friend, Casey), Erick (Amelia) Heling, Crystal (Seth) Walls; 42 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Luella Mueller. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant son, Bruce Heling, one granddaughter, Christine Spindler, one great-granddaughter, Ella Elizabeth Dailey and one brother, Roger O. Mueller.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (W2776 State Hwy 32, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Darrel Bergelin officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, at the church, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
