Victor "Frenchy" C. Guenther, 67, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Victor was born April 8, 1949, in Sheboygan, to the late Victor and Hilda (Miller) Guenther. He served his country in the United States Army before being honorably discharged in 1975. On June 16, 1984, he married the former Jill Galginaitis at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan. Victor was employed by Sheboygan County, where he worked as a printer, for 28 years.
In addition to his wife, Jill, he is survived by two daughters, Megan (Tom) Flatley, Wauwatosa and Kelsey Guenther, West Allis; one granddaughter, Brynn Flatley. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.
A memorial service for Victor will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church (917 Mead Avenue, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Jim Schulz officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, at the church, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their care and compassion.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
As Frenchy would say (and how he lived his life) "Be happy, don't worry, never look back, enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later then you think."
