Tim O'Neill, 66 (aka Urko) left us unexpectedly on Saturday, May 5th. He was born March 8th, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to Eugene and Margaret O'Neill. He attended Ridgewood High School in West Lafayette, Ohio and Bethany College in West Virginia.
He started a 30-year career with Kohler Co. in 1976 and married Carol Kuhn of Sheboygan in 1978. Tim and Carol moved to Brownwood, TX where both daughters Leslie and Colleen were born, and soon after the family moved to Howards Grove, Wisconsin. Tim retired from Kohler in 2006 and worked part-time at Muermann Engineering. Most recently he was employed at Sohn Manufacturing as an IT specialist.
When his daughters were young Tim coached their t-ball and softball teams, and throughout his life remained an avid follower of women's sports, supporting Carol in her softball and bowling leagues, Leslie in her dance career, and Colleen in her volleyball and tennis tournaments. He was passionate about Ohio State Football, the Milwaukee Brewers, and took the most pride in being a Green Bay Packer shareholder.
Outside of work Tim's interests were eclectic; he was a self-taught brew master, gardener, sausage maker, computer technician, fisherman, genealogist, and entrepreneur. Tim cultivated a backyard utopia on Van Buren Road by building an epic garden, washer court, deck, pool, hot tub, fire pit, patio and greenhouse. Tim was happiest with Outlaw Country on the radio, meat on the smoker, a Budweiser in hand, and surrounded by the love and laughter of his friends and family.
Tim's life was even more enriched by the arrival of his two grandchildren Crosby and Owen. He is also survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol, two siblings, Shelly (Jay), and Scott, two daughters Leslie (Gregg), Colleen (Graham), two grandchildren, 17 nieces and nephews, the extended Kuhn family and countless friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove.) Please visit www.zimmerfuneralhome.com to sign the guestbook.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is established in Tim's name.
