Suzanne B. Vandoske

Suzanne “Sue” Vandoske, Cleveland, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday February 12th, 2025 at Sheboygan Senior Community. Sue was born on February 10th, 1937 in Sheboygan to the late Melvin and Norma (Zimmermann) Schumann. She attended Washington Grade School, graduated from North High School in 1955. On April 29th,1961 she married Ronald Arno Vandoske at the First Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan. They were married for 63 years. Sue worked at Garton Toy Company and Gabes Construction. Sue was a member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, Town of Mosel, serving on the consistory and several terms as treasurer. Sue was also on the building committee for the 2007 handicapped addition of the church.

Sue and Ron enjoyed living in the country with their large lawn, garden, and apple trees. Every winter there was a 2 week vacation to Florida traveling by car enjoying being with her sister and husband JoAnn and Michael Nennig. For many years their mother Norma went with us. Sue and Ron also drove to many destinations around the Unites States including, California, Boston, and many others. One trip was by plane to Greece, Egypt, and Israel.

Sue and Ron had season tickets to the Green Bay Packer games since 1960 and enjoyed going to every home game and staying to the end, no matter what the temperature was. Sundays after church we along with close friends headed for Klemme’s Wagon Wheel for food and fun.

Sue is survived by her husband Ron, sister and brother-in-law JoAnn and Michael Nennig, several brothers and sisters-in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces, and grandnephew and nieces.

Preceding her in death are her parents, uncle and aunt Arthur and Betty Schumann, brother and sister-in-law Eugene and Ruth (Truttschel) Vandoske, Rueben and Roma (Braun) Vandoske, Lloyd Vandoske, and Roy and Beverly (Oonk) Vandoske.

Funeral services will be at St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, Dairyland and Orchard Rd, Town of Mosel, on Thursday February 20th at 11:00AM. Visitation from 9:00AM until 11:00AM. Burial in Church Cemetery immediately following service.

The family extends a sincere “Thank You” to the wonderful staff at Sheboygan Senior Community for their tender and loving care of Sue in her final hours.
