Russell Albert

Russell E. Albert age 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Monday, April 18, 2016. He was born September 24, 1944 in Manitowoc to parents Elmer and Eleanor (Matte) Albert. Russell graduated from the Manitowoc Public Schools in 1962. He proudly served his country in the US Navy as a Corpsman. Russell was united in marriage on October 9, 1965 in the Town of Newton to Myra Stock. Russell retired from Kohler Medical after 38 years of service. While working at Kohler he returned to school at Lakeshore Technical College, receiving his EMT and Marketing degrees.

Russell was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, trapping, and hunting. During his younger years he owned and operated Fox Charters and Hika Bay Tackle Co. Russell and Myra enjoyed trips to Alaska.

Russell is survived by his wife of 50 years Myra; three children, Russell E. (special friend Connie Jedrzejewski) Albert II, Joan (Todd) Stokdyk and Carol (Mark) Schicker; four grandchildren, Stephanie (fiance Joshua Whiting) Albert, Michael Albert, Brittany (special friend Daniel Telles) McNall and Haley Schicker; one great-granddaughter, Isabella Telles; one sister, Ruth (Dave) Stehula. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and beloved cat, Snuggles. Russell is preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law.

Per Russell's wishes, there will be no formal services. Memorials in Russell's name are appreciated to Cleveland Fish and Game.
