Roy Fenske

Roy A. "Top Tree" Fenske, age 73, longtime owner operator of Roy's Christmas Trees in the town of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday March 18, 2018 at St. Nicholas Hospital. He was born April 30, 1944 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Roy and Evelyn (Whiffen) Fenske. Roy was a 1962 graduate of South High School and served his county in the National Guard.
On August 14, 1965 Roy was united in marriage to Donna DeMarce. Roy was employed at Kohler Farms and Buteyn Excavating for many years, retiring from Spielvogel Excavating in 2005. He began his career in Christmas trees over 59 years ago, selling trees on a lot with Louie Weber on Indiana avenue. Roy moved his Christmas Tree lot to it's present location in 1971, growing his business from it's humble beginnings to being known county wide. Roy loved being outside and his cabin in Marinette County, where the beautiful trees that families selected for Christmas were raised. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his ATV.
In addition to his loving wife Donna, Roy is also survived by three sons; Tim (Sheryl) Fenske of Cascade, Chad Fenske of Sheboygan Falls and Shannon (Julie) Fenske of Sheboygan, nine grandchildren; Elizabeth, Cole and Rachel, Paige Morgan and Olivia, Jennifer, Jessica and Andrew, four great-grandchildren; Corbin, Lianna, Amelia and Madelyn, one brother, Robert (Barbara) Fenske Sr. and one Sister, Karen Wrench, both of Sheboygan, his "adopted son", Craig "Buzz" Miller, his neighbors Jairus and Rita Goking, and many good friends . In addition to his parents, Roy and Evelyn, Roy was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Alfred and Betty DeMarce, and his son, Todd.
A Gathering and Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday March 21, 2018 at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center W2132 Garton Road, Sheboygan, where family will receive family and friends from 1 p.m. until a service at 6 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established in Roy's name.
Roy was a very good Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
