Roger Anhalt

Roger G. Anhalt died at the age of 79, peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Rocky Knoll. He was born on June 26, 1936 in Kiel to Frederick and Luella (Fenn) Anhalt. Roger attended the Sheboygan Area Schools. He proudly served in the US Navy. On April 30, 1960 he was united in marriage for 38 years to the love of his life Donna Mae Wagner at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Roger worked at Plenco Plastics Engineering for over 30 years.

Roger loved his cars, cleaning and maintaining them. He enjoyed motorcycles, his dog Monte, spending time outdoors in the sun and with his friends and family. He had a witty sense of humor and a smirk all will remember.

Roger is survived by his children; Sandy (Jeff) Kaat of Howards Grove, Mark (Kelly) Anhalt of Franklin and Debbie (Pat) Verhelst of Howards Grove, eight grandchildren; Amber (Chris) Daun, Trent (Erika Zimmermann) Kaat, Keisha (Zach Morgen) Kaat, Autumn (Emilio Lopez) Kaat, Ashley (John) Maiwald, Brittany (Joe) Wuerl, Gaven and Hailey Verhelst; one great-grandson John Grayson Maiwald, and one great-granddaughter on the way, and by his sisters; Sharon Anhalt and Lynn (Ron) Grimstad. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, all whom loved him very much and will miss him daily. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Donna.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Roger's life will take place on Thursday, March 24, at 1:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. Sheboygan (Hwy 42 JJ) with Rev. Henry Verfuerth officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with Military Honors. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 24, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Rogers name. Roger's family would like to thank all his friends and family for their support, his meal time friend at Rocky Knoll, Gladys Klein and lifetime friend John Lang, also Dr. Bettag, Dr. Johnson, the staff at Rock Knoll and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
