Rogene Manz, 88, of Sheboygan, formerly of Howards Grove, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 31, 1927 at home in the Town of Herman to Otto and Alma (Klokow) Braun. Rogene graduated from Howards Grove High School. On August 23, 1947 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Willis Manz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. She was employed at the Kohler Company as a Scheduler and Planner, and she also worked at The Store in Howards Grove. Rogene was a member of Ebenezer UCC in Sheboygan, and was a member and Past President of Mary Martha and United Women's Fellowship. Rogene was an excellent caregiver and devoted wife to Willis. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards with the many card clubs her and Willis belonged to. She was full of life, and always had a good time dancing and being with her family and friends. She truly loved the years she lived on Pelican Lake and being up north.
Rogene is survived by her children; Lois (Jack) Reichert of Montello, Donna (Peter) Bertram of Town of Mitchell, Phil (Julie) Manz of Sheboygan, Bruce ( Special friend Wendy Scheibl) Manz of Howards Grove, and Beth (Special friend Rob Ormson) Manz of Sheboygan Falls, by her grandchildren; Brenda (Todd) Cruzen, Brian (Amanda) Reichert, Bonnie Reichert, Ryan (Carrie) Bender, Douglas (Special friend Lori Johnson) Bender, Gregory Manz, Rebecca (Michael) Dreier, and Andrew Manz, by three great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild, and by two step-great-great-grandchildren, she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two infant brothers, brother Roland Braun, sister Roma (Ruben) Vandoske, brother-in-law, Henry Manz, and sister-in-law Ethel (Gordon) Kueter, and by her parents-in-law Arno and Erna Manz.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Ebenezer UCC 3215 Saemann Ave., with Rev. Dr. Roger Mealiff, officiating. Entombment will take place on Monday at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either Ebenezer UCC or the American Cancer Society.
