Robert Stampfel

Robert A. Stampfel, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 12, 2017 at his home in Sheboygan. He was 94 years old. Robert was born July 29, 1923 in Sheboygan, the son of Robert and Marie (nee Mojnik) Stampfel. His family moved to Milwaukee, where he attended Boys Tech High School. After High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. On August 14, 1948, he was united in marriage with Florence Markgraf in Sheboygan. She preceded him in death in 2009. For over 40 years, Bob was a Letter Carrier for the City of Sheboygan. Bob enjoyed reading, woodworking, DIY projects, and was a Civil War buff.
Bob is survived by his children: James Stampfel of Sheboygan, Jeff Stampfel of FL and Lisa (Mike) Casper of Sheboygan. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Nick (Rachel) Stampfel and Heidi (Aaron) Scheidel; great-grandchildren: Morgen Stampfel, Kalen Scheidel and Jaxon Scheidel; brother-in-law Jack (Geri) Stampfel of Plymouth; sister-in-law Linda (John) Dirkse of CA; other relatives and friends.
According to Bob's wishes, private family services will be held.
