Robert Wallace Johnson

December 26, 1938 — December 14, 2024

De Pere

Robert Wallace Johnson, age 85, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on December 14, 2024. He was born in Marathon, Iowa on December 26, 1938 to the late John and Linnea (Nero) Johnson. He graduated with his Doctorate in Engineering. He worked as an engineer in both Minnesota and California. He met the love of his life, Nancy, at the coolest bar in San Jose, called “Cow Town”. Robert and Nancy were married in January 1987.

Robert will always be remembered as a kind soul who loved the outdoors, animals, and his family. He enjoyed just being in the beauty of nature. Whether it was fishing, hiking or photography, he enjoyed taking his sons to many beautiful places across the United States. Lake Tahoe area was always his favorite. His German Shephard dogs were a constant companion. He and Nancy loved country western dancing, trying different restaurants (he never finished his food, saving some for the dog), sharing a Margarita or two together and traveling. He was a good man and will be dearly missed by those lucky enough to have known him.

Robert is survived by his wife, Nancy Johnson, his son Richard (Maureen) Johnson, grandchildren, Jasmine, Julia, and Ross, and his great-grandchildren Nova, Apollo, Rowan, and Elliette.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his son Randall Johnson, stepson Michael T. Gorr, and the mother of his children Treva Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Hospice in De Pere, Wisconsin.
