Quirine "Queenie" Napotnik, 93, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Queenie was born January 30, 1925, in Sheboygan, to the late Paul and Ella (Kellner) Ploetz. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1943. In 1953, she married Eugene Themar. He preceded her in death in 1963. She married Jack Napotnik on September 18, 1971. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2010. Queenie was employed by the Kohler Company until after World War II. She then worked for Wisconsin Bell for over 28 years and then at Sheboygan North High School, in the cafeteria, for 12 years before her retirement in 1987.
Queenie was a life member of AT&T Pioneers of America, a member of the Slovanian Union of America, SLOGA Lodge #1994 and Woman's Catholic Charity. She enjoyed playing baseball, horseshoes, golf at Town and Country and Crystal Lake and bowling with the Senior Bowlers on Wednesday at Maple Lanes. She was also part of the "Girls" birthday group for 47 years.
Prior to his passing, she and Jack enjoyed weekends with Zieggys Crystal Lake Golfers, thirteen years of vacations in Arizona and traveling, especially to Jack's homeland of Slovania.
Survivors include one son, Randall (Pam) Themar, Appleton; one daughter, Barbara (Robert) Themar Davis, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Robert Davis II (Krystal), Rachel Davis, Nicholas Themar and Brooke Themar; three great-grandchildren, Isabella and Layla Davis and Robert III; two sisters-in-law, Beaty Ploetz and Janet Walter; one stepson, Dennis (Nancy) Themar and their children, Christina and Brittany.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Herbert, Frederick, Robert, James and Francis Ploetz, one sister, Marion Sauer and one stepdaughter, Frances Johnson.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church (822 New Jersey Ave, Sheboygan) with Rev. Robert Lotz as officiant.
