Phyllis M. Hoeppner

Phyllis Marie Hoeppner, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2025. Phyllis was born in Sheboygan on March 24, 1941 to the late Alvin and Freida (Kuntsman) Pluskat. Phyllis was united in marriage to Donald Hoeppner on March 11, 1961 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

Phyllis loved to crochet, and made many blankets and throws for her friends and family over the years. Her family remember her kindness, charity, and her many talents. She made Halloween costumes for her children growing up, and loved meeting with her friends. Many summers were spent traveling to the Wisconsin Dells and Door County for family vacations. Phyllis will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. The world could use more people like Phyllis.

Phyllis is survived by her children Ronald Hoeppner of Sheboygan and Donna (John) Kruse of Oshkosh; granddaughters Danielle Hoeppner of Sheboygan, Shannon (Eric) Thomas of Port Washington, WI, Stephanie (Matt) Haas of Johnson Creek and Kendra (Jake) Gundrum of Phoenix, AZ, and great-grandchildren Brinley and Aubrey Haas and Grant Gundrum. She is further survived by sisters-in-law Carolyn Hoeppner, Shirley Fenn and Melissa Hoeppner, and brother-in-law Arnie (Karen) Hoeppner.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband Donald, her great-granddaughter Sophie Gundrum, her brothers-in-law Dennis, Kenny and Jerry Hoeppner, and sisters-in-law Doris (Everett) Schober, Virginia (Marvin Sr.) Goetsch, and Joyce (Ron) Strysick.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Johnson, Dr. Scott Glaeser, and the wonderful staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.

A memorial service honoring Phyllis’ life will be held at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home, W2132 Garton Rd. Sheboygan, on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Tyler Werner officiating. Relatives and friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
