Peter G. “Pete” Weber, 91, of Waldo, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Plymouth Health Services.
Pete was born on March 12, 1930, to Peter S. and Mary (Hammes) Weber in Random Lake. He attended area schools until he began to work on the family farm. He drove truck for most of his life, and he most recently delivered milk for Charlie Puck. Pete was the former Mayor of Waldo for one term. Pete was married to Lois Weber, and together they had 6 children. Later in life, Pete was united in marriage to Janet Bonnett, and they have been married for nearly 30 years.
Pete greatly enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Pete and Janet loved to travel together, and would do so on trips meant for vacation or while he was trucking. He would also accompany Janet to rummage sales in the area.
Pete will be greatly missed by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Janet; children, Joseph Weber, Brenda (Jeff) Slizewski, Peter (Patty) Weber, Russell Weber, and Loren (Shana) Weber; step-children, Gary (Ellen) Bonnett, Delores Adams, David Bonnett, Kathleen Bonnett, Connie Mulder, Marie Bonnett, and Alice (Darwin) Lauersdorf; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Pete is preceded in death by his son, Sheldon Weber; parents; siblings; and stepsons-in-law, Steve Adams, Dale Mulder.
Private graveside services will be held for Pete at a later date.
