Patricia Moilanen

Patti (nee Paulson) Moilanen, age 58, of Sheboygan and formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Patti was born September 9, 1959 in Calumet, MI, the daughter of Everet and Elanor (nee Danielson) Paulson. She graduated from Calumet High School in 1977. On September 2, 1982 she was united in marriage with Martin J. Moilanen in Calumet. For many years, Patti worked as a secretary and an in-home caregiver.
Patti's love of life was camping; she was an avid reader, and loved butterflies, trips to the casino and spending time with her dog Quincy. Above all, she cherished time with her friends and family from Sheboygan and Calumet.
Patti is survived by her husband Marty, her daughters Misti Moilanen (Ben Matzdorf) and Ashley Moilanen (Bob Kunstman) who always made her smile in her last moments, and three grandchildren: Aiden Moilanen, Kylee Noel and Jaylee Quasius. She is further survived by her sister Sharon Liimatta of Calumet, MI, brothers-in-law Clyde Moilanen, Billy Moilanen, and Stanley (Sharon) Moilanen, nieces and nephews: Matt Fisher who treated her like his second mother, Robin (Darrell) Cronkright and her children Marissa and Andrew, Bret and Brandon Moilanen, Sara Finley, Jason Paulson, Stanley Balma, several nieces, nephews and cousins of Upper Michigan and special friends: Sue from MI who was always in her heart, Donna "Koopy" Schoner of Sheboygan and her daughters Tabitha and Starla, and Tabby, her special flower girl.
She is preceded in death by her parents Everet and Elanor Paulson and 8 brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd (Hwy 42 & JJ) in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Sheboygan Progressive Care Center and the doctors and nurses of Aurora Healthcare for their care and kindness.


You are now free from the pain and suffering you went through.
You were always there when we needed you.
You always had an answer for everything.
Even though we will be lost without you,

God gained a loving mother, grandmother and wife
who is now free to fly with the butterflies.
She will be our guardian angel watching over us all from heaven.
