Nicholas “Nick” J. Krell, age 63, of Howards Grove passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his home.
He was born in Sheboygan on March 9, 1961, to the late Nicholas and Dorothy (Stengel) Krell. Nick graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1979 and furthered his education at Lakeshore Technical Institute, earning an associate’s degree. For many years, Nick gifted those around him with his musical talents as an organist at both St. Dominic Catholic Church and St. Thomas the Apostle. Early on in his career, Nick was employed at Gene’s Sound and Camera in Sheboygan, where he was a t.v. and sound repairman which led him to his employment of nearly 30 years, as an electronics technician at O & W Communications.
Some of Nick’s favorite things to do were camping, baking, grilling and sitting outside on his deck enjoying the sun. Above all, sitting in his “sweet spot” listening to his “maggies” was his favorite pastime. Nick loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, “Kenz”. He will be deeply missed.
Nick is survived by his daughters, Kellye Krell and Lindsay (Joey) Sheahan; a granddaughter, McKenzye Krell all of Sheboygan; siblings, James Shape of Davenport, FL, Karen Krell of Cedar Grove and Sharon (Jim) Howard of Belgium; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Nick will take place from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd in Howards Grove. Nick will be laid to rest next to his parents at Saint Mary Cemetery in Lake Church, WI.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Nick’s name.
