Michael N. Henschel

Michael N. Henschel, age 28, of Cleveland passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 17, 2022, at ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah.

He was born in Sheboygan on April 19, 1994, to Neal Henschel and Tammy Grunewald.  He graduated from Howards Grove High School and continued his education at LTC recently earning his HVAC certification.  He was employed at Lakeshore HVAC & Solar Co., Inc as an installation and service technician.  Mike was baptized at and confirmed at Our Shepherd United Church of Christ in Howards Grove.

Mike enjoyed attending concerts, golfing, frisbee golfing, bowling, fishing & ice fishing, traveling, playing video games, and drinking Coca-Cola.  Above all, Mike had a love for making music & playing his guitar.  He only had to listen to a song once to master playing it on the guitar.  He had a zest for life and will be remembered as a hero for giving others a second chance at life through tissue, organ, and bone donation.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his father, Neal (Debby) Henschel and mother Tammy (DuWayne) Grunewald; brother, Matthew Henschel and his daughter, Olivia; step-siblings, Katie Wehrmann, Jeanette (Tom) Lawry, Jason Grunewald, and Mitchell Althen; his girlfriend, Megan Pingel and her two children, Seth and Olivia Harris; paternal grandmother, Shirley Henschel; maternal grandparents, Paul Diane Havlinek; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Henschel; a step-sister Samantha Meinnert and a cousin Whitney Radder.

A Memorial Service for Mike will take place at 4:00 PM on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. in Howards Grove with Rev. Rick Cawthon officiating.  Family will greet visitors on Monday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
