Michael K. Herr

Michael “Mickey” K. Herr, age 68, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025.

He was born on May 19, 1956, to the late Frederick and Kathleen (Knier) Herr. Mickey graduated from Kiel High School. On August 24, 1974, Mickey was united in marriage to Susan Huhn. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2024. 

Mickey was an amazing woodworker and created many pieces his family will cherish for years to come. He could also appreciate a good game of Solitaire and caring for his many furry companions. Above all, Mickey loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Joshua Herr, JoLinda (Jason) Burkard and Jonathan (Liz) Herr; grandchildren, Avery, Alexis, Athena, Owen, Breydin, Gaven, Sophia and Aubrey; great-grandchildren, Landon and Amelia; siblings, Bev (Charles) Jeanty, Trudy (Ron) Boldt, Nancy (Jerry) Wasmer, Janelle (John) Moritz, Laura Stein, Patty (Jeff) Schaller, Chris (Tim) Sommers and David (Cathy) Herr and his father-in-law, DuWayne Huhn; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Along with his parents and beloved wife Susan, Mickey was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene (Wayne) Brunner and his mother-in-law, JoAnn Huhn.

A Time of Celebration for Mickey will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road in Howards Grove. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mickey’s name.
