Marvin Scheibl

Marvin H. Scheibl, age 83, of Howards Grove, passed away Wednesday April 5, 2017 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He was born in the town of Mosel on April 12, 1933 a son of the late Martin and Minnie (Dickmann) Scheibl. Marvin was a 1952 graduate of Howards Grove High School. He served his Country proudly in the US Army from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1957.

On September 26, 1959 Marvin married the former Shirley Krueger at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. He was a Diesel Mechanic for the Sheboygan County Highway Department for many years, retiring in 1994.

Marvin had a great love for the outdoors, and spent his time fishing and hunting at the Scheibl camp in St. Germain. He treasured his time with his children, grandchildren and his "grand dogs". Marvin had a green thumb, and proudly shared his prized pickled cherry peppers with family and friends. He was a 25-year member of the Howards Grove Fire Department and was a member of the VFW Post 9924, Howards Grove.

Surviving Marvin is his loving wife Shirley; his son David (Kay) Scheibl of Kiel and his daughter, Connie (Al) Kupsch of Sheboygan, two grandchildren; Tyler and Noah Kupsch of Sheboygan, five step-grandchildren; Brayden Kupsch and Richard Konik of Sheboygan, Jacquelyn (Fiancé Zach Franklin) Konik of Madison, Tabitha (Special Friend Jason Grunewald) of Milwaukee and James Konik of Camp Pendleton, CA, one sister, Ellen Willhems of Fond du Lac and a sister-in-law, Joyce Scheibl of Elkhart lake.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by two sisters; Marion (Harvey) Wieland and Isabell (Rueben) Stuemke; three brothers, Willard (Ann), Norman (Gertrude) and Frederick Scheibl; a brother-in-law, Earl Wilhelms, and his daughter-in-law, Grace Scheibl.

A Funeral Service will be held for Marvin on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 730 Cty Rd PPP in Sheboygan Falls. Pastor Tom Gudmundson will officiate. Interment will follow at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery where full Military Honors will be accorded. Friends may call on the Scheibl Family on Sunday April 9, 2017 from 2 pm until 5 pm at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, Sheboygan and at the CHURCH on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.

Memorial funds have been established to The Gathering Area of St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Lutheran Children and Family Services in Marvin's name.
