Plymouth

Marguerite “Marge” M. (Herwig) Breisch, 61, of Rural Plymouth, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Sheboygan.  She was born on June 23, 1962 in Sheboygan a daughter of the late Harold and Eleanor (Boedecker) Herwig.  Marge was a 1980 graduate of Howards Grove High School. She went on to attend LTC from 1980 to 1981 receiving her certificate in Floral Design.

She was employed at Hoffmann’s Flowerland from 1981 until her retirement in 2023.    On January 31, 1987 Marge was united in marriage to David Breisch at Immanuel UCC in Town of Herman.  Marge was always up for adventure. She had taken a trip to Germany with her grandparents in 1982.  Marge had taken time off to be a stay-at-home mom while raising her children. When her children were younger, they took many family vacations.  In the last couple of years Marge & David have taken day trips, excursions and even spent a week on a schooner in Maine.

Marge was a faithful member of Immanuel UCC in the Town of Herman, where she was involved with the flower committee and sang in the choir.  David and Marge were treasures of the church for 20 years.  Recently they became members of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church.   Marge was very talented, she crocheted, knitted, sewed, counted cross stitching, scrapbooked, and made jewelry, but her big passion was flowers.  Whether she was working in her flower beds at home to helping customers at Hoffmann’s making their special day come to life or helping a grieving family give their loved one the feel of being loved through the flowers.

Marge is survived by her loving husband David, two children; Richard and Rachel, three sisters; Kathleen Herwig, Charlotte Herwig, and Elizabeth (Ed) Depies, mother-in-law Martha Breisch, sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Tom Bell, nieces and nephews, Erin Doherty, Nicole Walber, Courtney and Emily Waters, Ella Depies, Kara (Joshua) Davis, John Bell, and Ryan (Brooklyn) Bell, she is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Calvin and Irene Boedecker and Richard and Ella Herwig.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 6:30 PM at Immanuel UCC Church, W3694 Cty Rd FF, Plymouth, with Pastor James Grossmann officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Immanuel UCC Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in Marge’s name.
