LuAnn Schramm, 60, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 with her family and friends by her side.
Louie was born February 11, 1956, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Lee and Jean (Schmitz) Wick. She attended Holy Name School, Sheboygan, WI, and graduated, in 1974 from Sheboygan North High School.
On June 29, 1974, she married her lifelong love of forty-two years, Donald (Butch) Schramm, Jr., at Holy Name Church. They were blessed with two children: Jeremy (Allison) Schramm, and Rebecca (Jesse) Bratz, of Sheboygan, WI.
She was a stay-at-home mom until her children attended school full-time. After that, Louie began working for her dear friend and neighbor, JJ Johnson, at Wisconsin Shores Financial Services, as Group Health Agent.
Louie's bright and infectious smile touched the lives of so many. There isn't a person out there who hasn't someway, somehow, been touched by Louie's big heart, amazing story of survival and fight, and caring touch. Louie was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed her yearly mini vacations to Shawano with them, as she looked forward to this time away every year. Not a care in the world was to be had; coffee in the sun, boat rides with Captain Landon, amazing food by Chef Butch. Lots of laughs and memories were made.
Butch's passion for hot rods was shared with his copilot, Louie. They enjoyed getting a group together to hit a car show or just tool around...just the two of them.
Louie was a huge advocate for the American Cancer Society's Road America Walk/Run since she was Honorary Survivor in 2011, when team Louie Lover's was formed. She took pride in raising money and getting her family and friends out on the 4-mile track. In the last six years Louie has raised over $23,000.
Louie is survived by her husband, Butch, her two children, Jeremy (Allison) Schramm, Rebecca (Jesse) Bratz, three grandchildren, Landon and Parker Schramm, Brandon Bratz, mother/in-law, Jean Wick, Evelyn Schramm, brothers/in-laws, sisters/in-law, Tom (Pennie Wick), Sheri (Jay) Wocelka, Jim Wick (fiancé Victoria Cardiel), Mary Jo Schupp (fiancé Larry Gordon), Doug (Julie) Schramm, Dave Schramm, Debbie Ogle and nieces and nephews, Jackie Scheidt, Kim (David) Linz, Jenny (Greg) Schmidt, Angie (Dave) Byer, Stephanie (Brian) Haack, Amy (Matt) Mickelson, Matt Schupp, Alicia (Jake) Copp, Michaela Schramm, Collin Schramm, Rheannon Schramm, Megen Schramm (fiancé Jacob Boenig), Theresa Schramm, Paul (Donna) Ogle and Lydia Ogle. Funeral services will be held at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home, on December 6, 2016 in Sheboygan, with Chaplin Darren Beachy officiating. Visitation is from 4-6:30p and service from 6:30-7:30p. A Celebration of Life gathering, will be held after the service at the Sheboygan Elks Lodge, 1943 Erie Ave., Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund (SCCCF), 1621 N Taylor Dr #100, Sheboygan, WI 53081. The SCCCF assists local cancer patients with financial needs. They provided assistance to Louie and Butch on several occasions, which helped tremendously.
The family wishes to thank all the caring nurses and staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, St. Luke's Medical Center and Sheboygan Memorial Hospital for all of their dedication and compassion during Louie's years of treatment. Your kindness and support is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
