LaVerta Boeldt

LaVerta C. Boeldt, 88, of Howards Grove, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Harvest Home Assisted Living. She was born April 7, 1929 to the late Gilbert and Ovila (Kissinger) Horneck. On April 30, 1949, she married Henry E. Boeldt at Immanuel United Church of Christ. LaVerta worked as a waitress and cook at the Log Cabin restaurant well into her senior years. She did seamstress work for friends and family, and also gave great cooking advice.

LaVerta is survived by one daughter, Bonnie (James) Schuette; one son, Terry (Karen) Boeldt; six grandchildren: Aaron (Jennifer) Schuette, Christopher (Stefanie) Schuette, Christina (Andy) Sprenger, Carrie (Benjamin) Nickel, Casie (Marc) Winter, Caslin (Greg) Worzalla; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jane Boeldt; 5 sister-in-laws: Marlene Horneck, Betty Boeldt, Dorothy Boeldt, LaVerne Boeldt, Shirley Rudebeck and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother Myron Horneck.

Private family services will be held.
