Kristine “Kris” Berken, 71, beloved sister, formerly of Elkhart Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan.
Kris was born to Clarence and Rose (Moriearty) Berken on August 15, 1950, in Oshkosh, WI. Kristine started working at Rocky Knoll upon graduation from High School in 1969 and retired in 2010. Kris was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan, even using her own method of scoring each baseball inning. Kris always greeted you with a smile and liked socializing with everyone. She loved decorating for all holidays but especially Christmas. Kris looked forward to going on trips with friends and spending time with her Oshkosh relatives. Going to weddings, showers, parties, dances, and playing bingo gave her so much joy. Kristine was always happy and excited to see and play with babies and young children.
Kris is survived by her siblings, Barbara (Ronald) Meyer, George (Mary) Berken, and Gregory (Jessy) Berken; and many nieces and nephews.
Kris is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lynn Berken; and sister-in-law, Karen Berken.
