Kenneth K. Hoeppner, 82, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 with his family by his side at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. Ken was born December 11, 1938 in Sheboygan to Arnold and Mae (Chicowski) Hoeppner. He graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan with the Class of 1957. Ken went on to proudly serve in the US Army from 1961 until 1963, he then served in the Army Reserve from 1963 to 1967. On April 16, 1966 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Rose Jochmann at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
Ken worked at Leick Furniture for 44 years as a furniture maker. He retired in 2001. Ken had a strong faith and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. He was a talented woodworker, making many beautiful pieces for his family and friends. Ken also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, Sudoku, and traveling. Ken visited almost all 50 states. His favorite trip was when he traveled to Alaska with Carolyn. He also enjoyed many trips to Canada. Family was very important to Ken, he loved spending time watching his grandchildren and creating lasting memories with them.
Ken is survived by his wife Carolyn Hoeppner of Sheboygan, son John Hoeppner of Sheboygan Falls, daughter Mary Ann Hoeppner of Sheboygan, grandchildren; Curtiss, Holly, and Eric Hoeppner, and Elizabeth Hoeppner, brothers; Arnold Jr. (Karen) Hoeppner, and Jerome (Melissa) Hoeppner, sister Shirley (Harold) Fenn, sisters-in-law Phyllis Hoeppner and Pat Hoeppner. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Donald and Dennis Hoeppner, and sisters; Doris (Everett) Schober, Virginia (Marvin) Goetsch and Joyce (Ron) Strysick, father and mother -in-law Gary and Mary Jochmann, brother-in-law Ronald (Sandra) Jochmann and nephew Steven Jochmann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2133 N. 22nd St. Sheboygan, with Fr. Phil Reifenberg officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. All COVID-19 Restrictions will be in place, masks will be required, social distancing of 6ft will be followed and hand sanitizing when you enter the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in Ken's name.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kuttickat, the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, and all the Dr.'s and RN's that cared for Ken over the past 34 years. Your love, care, compassion and support will always be remembered.
