Howards Grove

Karen Marion Binversie, 76, of Howards Grove, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2024 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Karen was born on April 5, 1948 to the late Robert Sr. and Lorraine (Sand) Gumm. She spent her childhood in the Town of Mosel on the family farm. She graduated from Howards Grove High School with the Class of 1966.

Karen was united in marriage to Richard Binversie on April 22, 1967. Together they celebrated 57 wonderful years marriage. Karen worked for the H.C, Prange company for 22 years, and retired from Aspiro in Green Bay after 17 years.

Karen’s family was her pride and joy. Taking trips Up North and camping with her family and friends was something she cherished. Attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events was a favorite pastime of Karen’s, she was truly their biggest fan. They loved having Grandma come to their games and hearing her cheer for them in the stands. Those are some of the lasting memories they will deeply cherish. Karen had a heart of gold, she was fun loving, caring and always willing to lend a hand to those who needed her. Besides watching her grandchildren, she also enjoyed watching the Brewers, Packers, Badgers, HG Tigers and HG Riverdogs. When she wasn’t cheering on her favorite team she could be found working on a puzzle, playing games on her kindle, tending to her beautiful flowers which she took great pride in or visiting with clients as their Mary Kay consultant. Karen has touched so many lives, she is truly going to be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Karen is survived by her husband Richard, two children, Todd (Jody) Binversie and Tammie Green, five grandchildren; Zachery Green, Kayla (Brandon) Hernandez, Courtney Binversie, Ryan Binversie and Emily Binversie, three great-grandchildren, Addison Eirich, Aria Hernandez, and Ivan Mertes, sister Carol Reinemann, brother Robert Jr. (Bev) Gumm, Aunt Marion Dedering, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
