John E. Konz Jr.

John E. Konz Jr., age 73, of Howards Grove passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Sheboygan on August 4, 1949, to the late John and Gertrude (Rietbrock) Konz Sr. He graduated from Howards Grove High School. In 1976, John married Patricia Opitz. She preceded him in death on June 30, 2016. He was a member of United Church of Christ Schwartzwald.

John enjoyed watching sports, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee Brewers. He was also an automobile enthusiast and attended many car shows over the years. He also loved spending time with Max, his furry companion.

John is survived by his daughter, Christine Netwal; grandchildren, April (Jacob) Hermann, Mark (Cassie) Rieth, Elizabeth Netwal, Nicole Finch and Kaleb Finch; great-grandchildren, Noah, Zoe, Madeline, Dominic, Katie, Dexter, and Mazi; siblings, Frank (Betty) Konz, Roger (Dorothy) Konz, David (Marie) Konz and Edward (Julie) Konz and his beloved dog, Max; nieces, nephews, other family and friends further survive.

Along with his parents and his wife, Patricia, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas (Heidi) Konz, Daniel Konz; a son, Jeffery Fale and a daughter Denise Finch.

A Funeral Service for John will take place at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd in Howards Grove with Pastor Melinda Feller officiating. Family will greet visitors on Thursday, at the funeral home, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. John will be laid to rest next to Patricia at Greenbush Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made in John's name to the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
