John Ambroso

July 25, 1943 — August 19, 2016

John R. Ambroso, age 73 of Elkhart Lake passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls, surrounded by his loving family.

John was born on July 25, 1943 in Neenah, WI to Paul and Ramona (Tagliapietra) Ambroso. John proudly served in the United States Marines. He was united in marriage to Beverly Hansen. John worked for Nash Finch in Appleton and Fresh Brands in Sheboygan, retiring in 2008. John was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Elkhart Lake, and was a member of the building and grounds committee for three years. John loved spending time with his family and cherished his two grandsons, Max and Charlie. His favorite pastime was golfing and he enjoyed doing so with his best friend, Cliff Humas.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Beverly Ambroso; loving sons, Patrick (Ali) Ambroso of Rogers, AR and Paul Ambroso of Elkhart Lake; cherished grandsons, Max and Charlie Ambroso; and siblings, Jere Ambroso of Appleton and Jeanette Lucas of Fort Myers, FL. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services for John will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel U.C.C. (W4225 County Line Road, Elkhart Lake) Family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at the church from 12:00 p.m. NOON - 12:45p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sheboygan Humane Society (3107 N 20th St, Sheboygan, WI 53083) are greatly appreciated a foundation that John has supported.

The Ambroso Family would like to share their sincere gratitude to the Sheboygan Cancer Center, especially Dr. Mark Bettag, M.D. and Stacy Miller NPC, and the nursing staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
