Jerome Brendel, 65, of Sheboygan, passed away on April 30th at Morningside Health Center, after a brave battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Jerome was born in Sheboygan on July 23, 1951 to Bernetta and Harold Brendel. He graduated from Sheboygan North in 1969, and Lakeshore Technical College in 1970.
Jerome is survived by two brothers, Chuck (Pat) of Sheboygan, and Vernon (Linda) of Cleveland. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, and numerous grand nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jerome was an accomplished skilled tradesman, working as a tool and cutter grinder in the Brass division of Kohler Company for 41 of his 43 years there. He took great pride in his work and was a dedicated employee until his illness prevented him from doing his work.
In his earlier years he enjoyed playing softball and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and trapping with his uncle Ernie, and cutting wood with uncles Ernie and Myron.
He was a kind, selfless person who was always willing to help his family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road (Hwy 42 & JJ in Howards Grove) with Rev. Aaron Mueller will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
