Jeffrey Ries

October 31, 1956 — December 29, 2020

Jeffrey Stuart Ries, age 64, of Sheboygan, passed away on December 29th, 2020, with his wife, Lynn, at his side.
Jeff was born on October 31st,1956, to the late Donald and Patricia (White) Ries. He attended Sheboygan Area Schools, graduating from south High School in 1975.
On February 14th, 1992, he married Lynn (Landwehr) and together, they resided in Sheboygan where they raised their children.
Jeff loved his wife and children very much. He would do anything for his family. He loved his three granddaughters just as much - if not more. Family was always important to him.
If Jeff wasn't at home, he was at his home away from home, "the woods." Jeff always said, "It's time to go to the woods, to be closer to God." Jeff loved hunting and fishing. He also had a love for airplanes, tanks, and items from WWII. He loved putting model airplanes together. Going to the EAA airshow in Oskosh as a big family meant a lot to him. He loved taking granddaughters to their father daughter dances when they were younger. He loved camping with family and granddaughters too. He always enjoyed having family over and sharing his love for the Green Bay Packers. Jeff also had a love for shopping, which made Lynn very happy.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Lynn; children, Jason (Abby), Shannon, Darrel, Joshua (Becky); and his pride and joy - his beautiful granddaughters, Eden, Baylee, and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his four legged baby, Milo. He is also survived by his sisters, Debra (Dan) Schlafke of Sheboygan, Lori (Mark) McDonald of Howards Grove, and Shari Ries of Cape Coral, Florida; and his nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; little sister, Heidi Adams; and brother-in-law, Ray Keen Jr.
Jeff is very loved and will be missed by his entire family.
"Please don't cry because I'm gone, be happy I was here. I haven't really left you, even though it may seem so. I'm walking with you every step of the way."
The Ries family would like to extend their heartfelt and sincere thanks of gratitude to the Sheboygan EMT's, first responders, and the ER staff at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for their diligent, hard work and care they gave Jeff.
A celebration of life will take place once it is safer to gather.
