Jeffrey D. Gruber, age 72, passed away at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.  He was born, the second of nine children, on October 16, 1949, to Frederick and Ann (Meissner) Gruber.

He graduated from Sheboygan North High School.  Jeffrey completed his Certified Financial Planning designation from the college for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.  He was the co-founder of the insurance and financial counseling business Wisconsin Shore Financial Services and a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He served in the United States Army from 1969 until 1971 with the 82nd Airborne Division stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska.  Jeffrey was also active in the Cedar Lake Improvement Association in the 1970’s, the Sheboygan Elk’s Club #299 in the 1980’s and 1990’s, along with the Pearson-Pickerel Lions Club.

He was married on June 19, 1971.

Jeffrey is the father of two children, Nathan (Heidi) Gruber and Rebecca Versey and the grandfather to eight beautiful grandchildren.

Jeffrey was a strong long-distance runner and excelled in the game of golf which he enjoyed playing throughout his adult life.  He had a talent for woodworking and constructed a beautiful timber framed home in the Lily, WI area.

He cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

The family would like to thank Orange Cross for assisting us in bringing him home.  They would also like to thank the entire staff at Sharon Richardson for the exceptional care and support.

The family asks that any memorials in Jeffrey’s name be made out to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Remember him as a boy who explored the world around him.

Remember him as a young soldier who enlisted to defend his country.

Remember him as a man who loved to observe birds and wildlife in nature.

Remember him as a good man.
