Jason R. Neumann, 43, of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2024.
He was born on February 4, 1981 to DuWayne Neumann and Lynn (Malmberg) Fields. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School with the Class of 1999. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jason moved around with the Army to various duty stations. He served three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service to his country in 2019. Jason went on the Honor Flight Freedom to Liberty in September 2023 to New York, NY.
Jason enjoyed building and shooting firearms, it was his stress relief. When back home Jason loved spending time with his family, especially going to his niece’s soccer games. After 20 years of service Jason formed many friendships with his military family and kept those friendship even after his retirement. Jason would visit the VFW on various occasions, including the Friday Night Fish Fry.
He is survived by his children, Connor and Elizabeth; father DuWayne Neumann, brother Erik Neumann, stepfather John Fields, step siblings Andy (Renee Sammet) Fields, Melissa Hahn and Jessica Zaddack; nieces and nephews, Brooklyn, Mariah, Kailie, Mason, Landon, Nolan, Annabelle, Dixie and Piper; and other relatives and friends.
Jason is preceded in death by his mom Lynn Fields and maternal grandparents, Glenn and Ruth-Ann (Borne) Malmberg.
Funeral Military Honors and Jason’s urn burial will take place on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Wildwood Cemetery, Sheboygan. Immediately after the cemetery on Monday a Celebration of Life for Jason will take place at the VFW Post 9156, 552 S. Evans Street, Sheboygan.
