Jane Stange

Jane Clare Stange, age 55, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 7, 2016. She was born in Sheboygan on August 10, 1961, a daughter of the late James Joas and Lou Ann (Madson) Neumeyer. Jane was a graduate of North High School, class of 1978. After graduating she was employed at American Orthodontics, retiring in April of 2010.

Jane met the love of her life, John Stange at Rupp's Lodge, and later they were married in Jamaica on December 24, 2002. Jane and John shared in many life experiences including numerous trips to Jamaica, northern Wisconsin and the boundary waters of Minnesota and Canada. Also, enjoying their boat at the Sheboygan Marina, the company of many friends, and together, starting Pier 17 Restaurant on the Sheboygan Riverfront in 2014. She was John's partner in business and in life.

Surviving Jane is her loving husband John, her mother, Lou Ann (Madson) and husband Gilbert Neumeyer of Sheboygan, three uncles; Joseph (Marlyn) Joas of rural Kiel, William (Carol) Joas of rural Kiel, Ervin Madson of St. Nazianz, and one aunt; Arlene Schleh, of St. Nazianz, two sisters-in-law; Phyliss (Don) Walter of Sheboygan and Doris (Ron) Mahnke of Everett, WA. She is further survived by her step-brother, Chris (Jenny) Neumeyer of Whitelaw, two step-sisters; Debbie Fritz of Horicon and Cindy Neumeyer of Manitowoc. Jane held a special place in her heart for John's nephews; Rick and Doug Walter, and niece, Donna Gorter.

In addition to her father James, Jane was also preceded in death by her brother, Dean, Paternal grandparents, Arthur (Margaret) Joas, Maternal grandparents, Louis (Margaret) Madson, her cousin, Scott Joas, and step-brothers, Thomas and Gary Neumeyer.

Friends may call at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, Sheboygan on Monday December 12, 2016 from 3:00 until 6:30 pm, when a service celebrating Janes life will be held.

Memorials to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Jane's name appreciated.

John wishes to announce that in loving memory and respect of Jane, Pier 17 Restaurant in Sheboygan will be closed on Monday December 12th.

John also wishes to send his heartfelt thanks to the Sheboygan Police Department and First Responders for all their efforts and support.
