Jack Carl Schroeder

Jack Carl Schroeder, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023 at Sharon Richardson Hospice.

Jack was born on March 25, 1934 in Sheboygan to the late Carl and Catherine Fritz Schroeder.

He attended TrInity Lutheran grade school and graduated from Central High School in 1952. He was united in marriage to Carol Mae Baumann on September 4, 1954. Jack and Carol had three daughters: Jill, Kathleen and Jackie.

The best years of Jack’s life were the eighteen years he spent living at Pigeon Lake where his children and grandchildren visited almost every weekend. One of his greatest enjoyments was spending time with his family.

Jack served in the Naval Reserve for eight years, from 1952 until 1960.

Jack worked as an agent with American Family Insurance for thirty years until his retirement April 1999. Prior to going into the insurance business, Jack worked for Dietz music in sales, taught guitar, and also worked at Dulmes Paint store.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing at the deer cabin in Florence County with his good friends. He also was an avid golfer.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. He served as chairman of the decorating committee and as chairman of the congregation for five years.

Jack is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Jill (Jerome) Bowser, Kathleen (Roy “Shon”) Sanders, and Jackie Lynn (David) Wassink.  He is further survived by his grandchildren Chad, Amber (Daniel) Kelter, Jessica (Robert) Mojica Joshua Wassink, Abigail (Clifford) Odenkirk, and Angela (Adam) Boettner; ten great-grandchildren Ruben, Angelina, Emily, Campbell, Clark, Elston, Landon, Jace, Jayden, Josiah, and Archer. He is also survived by his brother Larry (Judy) Schroeder, nieces and nephews.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Catherine Schroeder, and his infant sister.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 3027 Wilgus Ave in Sheboygan, with Pastor Bryan Osladil officiating. A private entombment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the CHURCH.
