Irmgard M. Dreier, 99, of Howards Grove, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Pine Haven Christian Home. She was born March 10, 1918 in the Town of Schleswig to Henry and Ida (Maurer) Beil. Irmgard graduated from Reedsville High School in 1936. She worked for the H.C. Prange family as a domestic housekeeper until her marriage. On May 19, 1945 she was united in marriage to Walter Dreier at St. Peter UCC in Kiel. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2002.
Irmgard was an active member of Immanuel UCC. She was active with the Women's Guild, enjoyed singing in the Choir, and also taught Sunday School. Walter and Irmgard enjoyed going to Packer games, and traveling especially to Door County for cherry picking. Irmgard loved going to watch and listen to the Kiel Municipal Band. She was a member of a Bridge Club which met monthly, comprised of friends from Howards Grove. Her talents spread from music to baking and gardening. Her children and grandchildren will miss all the amazing treats she was always making for them. Her true passion was creating memories with her family and friends.
Irmgard is survived by her two sons, Wayne (Nancy) Dreier and Mark (Carolyn) Dreier both of Howards Grove, grandchildren; Angela Marie of St. Mary's, GA, Christopher Dreier of Howards Grove, Michael (Rebecca) Dreier of Cedarburg, and Adam Dreier of Howards Grove, a great-grandson Wesley Dreier of Cedarburg, a sister LuAnn Siehs of Kiel, she is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Howard (Della) Beil, brother-in-law Valentin Siehs, nephew Valentin Siehs Jr., and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Immanuel UCC, W3694 County Rd FF, Plymouth, with Rev. Laura Yurs officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel UCC Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 12:00 NOON until the time of service at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immanuel UCC in Irmgard's name.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Pine Haven Christian Homes and the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all their care, compassion and support.
