Irma Prange

Irma (Widder) Prange, age 93, died peacefully at Pine Haven, Sheboygan Falls on Monday July 11, 2016. She was born on July 16th, 1922 in Sheboygan Falls to Gustav and Ida (Miller) Widder. She was baptized August 21, 1922 and confirmed April 14th, 1935 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Irma attended Sheboygan Falls Lutheran School and graduated in the class of 1940 from Sheboygan Falls High School. On October 2, 1943 she married Wesley L. Prange at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Irma was employed by Brickners Woolen Mills in Sheboygan Falls and also was a Kindergarten aide in the Howards Grove School District. She was also a Food Service Manager for the Kohler Public School district for 10 years. Over the years Irma was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church Altar Guild in Kohler holding the position of President and Secretary and Treasurer. She also belonged to the Howards Grove V.F.W Auxiliary Post 9924. She was also a charter member of Sunny Ridge Nursing home and volunteered in the Activity Department at Sunny Ridge for 12 years. She also volunteered her time at the Bethesda Gift Store.
Irma is survived by her five children; Barbara (Tom) Brenkus, of Green Bay, David (Sue) Prange of Sheboygan, Richard (Rachel) Prange of Georgetown, TX, Jeffrey (Donna) Prange of Cecil, WI and Paul (Sophie) Prange, of Wauwatosa, WI; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother, Leonard (Gerri) Widder of Sheboygan Falls; one sister, Mary Pohland of Germantown, two sisters-in-law, Audrey Widder, of Sheboygan Falls and Margaret Widder of Sheboygan Falls; one brother-in-law; Norbert Prange of Howards Grove.
In addition to her husband of 71 years, Wesley, she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Elda (Melvin) Kalk, Norma (Delbert) Klemme, Adeline (Donald) Lorenz, Violet (George) TerMaat; brothers, Frederick, Willard and Roland (Clara) Widder; sisters-in-law; Olinda (Norbert) Schomberg, Avila (Wilbert) Lenz and Marion Prange, brothers-in-law; Gaylord (Rose) Prange Sr. and William Pohland.
