Iris F. Wagner, age 81, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Pine Haven Christian Communities.
She was born in Sheboygan on May 9, 1943, to the late Adolph and Harriette (Schultz) Fale. She attended St. Peter Claver Catholic School and graduated from Central High School. Iris was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Parish in Sheboygan. On April 27, 1963, Iris married the love of her life, Thomas Wagner. The two had a life filled with love, respect, joy, and laughter. The two shared three beloved children and three grandchildren, whom brought them much joy and fulfillment. Tom preceded her in death in 2009. Iris was employed for many years with Aurora Medical Center in both pediatrics and medical billing services.
Iris loved spending time at their cottage around a campfire in northern Wisconsin; fishing, playing cards, being a master sheepshead and cribbage player, going to the casino, and spending time with her family and friends. Iris was the family host for any gathering and enjoyed bringing family and friends together. She will be deeply missed.
Iris is survived by her children, Scott (Rachel) Wagner of New Holstein and Sheryl Short of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Makense Short, Emily Short, and Brittani Naidl; brothers, Randall (Carol) Fale, Richard Fale, Robert (Ann) Fale, Rev. John (Marcia) Fale, and Eugene (Debra Kutz) Fale; sisters, Mary Jane Fale, Roseann DeRuyter, Therese Moore, Margaret Shoemaker, and Christine (Grant) Brooks; sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Hibbard and Jean (Ted) Behling; along with many, many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Along with her parents and husband, Iris was preceded in death by her son, Sean Wagner; stepmother, Lorraine Hardy Fale; sisters, Karen O’Malley and Janyce (Andy) Kerkhoff; father and mother-in-law, James (Agnes) Wagner; brothers-in-law, William (Karen) Wagner, Roger Shoemaker, Harold Hibbard, and sister-in-law, Betty Ann (Wagner) Koenig.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Iris will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 28, 2025, at St. Dominic Catholic Parish, 2133 N 22nd St. in Sheboygan, with Father Dennis Beltre officiating.
