Gary Niemann,65 , of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born February 4, 1953 in Sheboygan to Lester and Delores (Radtke) Niemann. He graduated from South High School with the class of 1971. After graduation Gary proudly served in the National Guard. On August 13, 1976 he was united in marriage to Sheila Kiehl in Copperas Cove, TX.
Gary worked for the Department of Public Works for the City of Sheboygan for 40 years. He was member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
Gary was a true outdoors man enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping in Door County. He was a car enthusiast loving Mustangs and washing his truck. Gary had a big heart and he loved and rocked every baby that came to their home, like they were his own.
Gary is survived by his wife Sheila, daughters, Andrea Niemann and Manda (Special friend Rich Luttenberger) Niemann, step-grandson Matthew (Krista) Schiefelbein, brother Richard Niemann, sister-in-law Sheryl (Wes) Brachmann. Their children; Shaun (Cory) Brachmann, Nikki, Peter, Amanda Blanke, Patrick (Jenny) Brachmann, Quinn, Julie, London, Jennifer (Doug) Kliment, Sara, Brent, Kari (Cal) Stoker, Evan, Ryan, and Ian, brothers- in-law, Charles (Sandy) Kiehl their daughter Chrystal, Otis (Katie) Kiehl, their son David (Krysten) and their children Harrison and Ruby, and Ernst (Roxanne) Kiehl. Niece Brenda (Dave) Kanz, and their children, Jana (Rev. Tim) Chase, Norah, Maggie, Aaron, Annabelle, Marta, Josh (Kalia) Koren, Connor , Shinji, Gracelyn, Jessica (Dylan) Usadel, and Jacob Kanz, nephew Brian ( Linda) Klaft and their children, Tori, Jake, and Jack, lifelong friends, Tim (Marsha) Nachtwey and their children, Matt (Carrie) Nachtwey and Aaron (Dawn) Nachtwey, hunting and fishing friend, Jeff Leonhard, good friend Terry (Helene) Radtke, extended family; Amanda, Alyssa, and Aaron Hiebing, Mackenzie Hinz, Vincent Wieck, Alexis Leichtnam Kraemer, Maxwell and Tobey Shircel, and Tricia Senkbeil, granddogs, Graci and Greta, he is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Otis and Cornelia Kiehl, sister-in-law Muriel (Fritzi) Klaft, and nephew Daniel Kiehl.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Gary's name.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave., Sheboygan, with Pastor Alan Kubow and Rev. Timothy Chase officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Sheboygan 1st responders, the ER Staff at St. Nicholas Hospital, the CCU staff at Holy Family Hospital, and the staff of the CCICU at St. Vincent Hospital for all of their care, comfort and support.
