Eugene “Gene” L. Sebald, 79, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
He was born May 21,1942 to the late Milton and Irene (Sprenger) Sebald. Gene graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School.
In 1961, Gene was united in marriage to Gayle Weber, on November 25, 1977. He was later united in marriage to Tonilyn Hoffman who preceded him in death on October 23, 2002. On December 31, 2003, he was united in marriage to Marianne Zelles.
Gene worked for Kohler company for 41 years. In 1963 he started his career in the brass division, then moved on to the engine division where he retired in 2004. He was a proud member of the quarter century club at Kohler Company. He was a proud member of the UAW Local 833. He had a history of bartending, he was “Mr. Social”, having the gift of gab. He was an avid trout fisher, he enjoyed watching Indy car racing, WWE and was an all-Wisconsin sports fan. Gene was extremely devoted to his family. Gene had a very strong faith in the Lord.
Gene is survived by his wife Marianne; his children, Michael (Sandy Collier) Sebald, Mark Sebald, Bob (Rachel) Kuehl, William (Carrie) Kuehl, Tina (Troy) VanEss, Donna Cvetan, and Debra (Derek) Larrabee; his 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Fr. Michael Hoffman along with many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents; his previous wife Tonilyn, his former in laws Robert and Patricia Hoffman, his daughter MaryJane Daniels, and his son in law Donald Cvetan.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 1:30 PM, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave, Kohler, where friends will be received from 1PM until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to the Sheboygan County Cancer Fund in Gene’s name.
