Eugene Scheibl

Eugene E. Scheibl, age 92, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Friday July 5, 2019 at The Shores of Sheboygan where he had been a resident since May 1st. He was born March 16, 1927 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Louis and Hilda (Boeldt) Scheibl.
Eugene was enlisted in the US Army, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II. After his honorable discharge, he married the former Virginia Schelbauer on August 28, 1948. She preceded him in death February 24, 2007. Eugene was a machinist at the Curt Joa Company for many years, retiring in 1992.
An avid golfer, Eugene was proud of his Hole in One at Quit Qui Oc, (on the 4th hole) and the Evergreen Golf course in Plymouth. He enjoyed bowling and was an Armchair Coach for every Packer Game. He and Virginia enjoyed traveling through the United States.
Surviving Eugene is his son, LeRoy (Carol) Scheibl of Elkhart Lake, two daughters: Linda (Todd) Mueller of Sheboygan and Sharon (John) Schneider of Ft. Myers, FL; six grandchildren: Angela (Chris) Thompson, Ben Mueller, Tanya (Steve) Goes, Nick (Katie) Mueller, John (Nicole) Schneider and Julie Schneider, nine great-grandchildren; Brady, Karlie and Austin Stormoen, Gavin Thompson, Kennedy, Cooper and Tucker Goes, Evelyn and Colin Schneider. In addition to his wife and parents, Eugene was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday July 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Eternal Light, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on the family from 10 AM until the time of the service. Military Honors will be accorded following the service.
The Scheibl family wishes to thank Preceptor Home Health & Hospice, and the staff of The Shores of Sheboygan for the loving care and compassion Dad received.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Eugene E. Scheibl.
