Elizabeth Basch

Elizabeth "Betty" Basch, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. She was 82 years old.
Betty was born August 18, 1934 in Sheboygan, the daughter of John and Panorea (nee Drilias) Turk. She attended school in Sheboygan, and graduated from Central High in 1952. On February 5, 1955, she was united in marriage to Henry Basch in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death in 2002.
For many years, Betty was an employee of Southside Rexall Drug in Sheboygan.
Betty was a longtime member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church where she had been involved with the Christian Mothers. When her sons were in Cub Scouts, she was a den leader. Betty adored her grandchildren, and they will cherish her special homemade birthday cards and other personalized handmade gifts. She was proud of her Greek heritage, and will be remembered for her hospitality and welcoming home.
Betty is survived by her sons: Mike (Sherry) Basch of Sheboygan and Tom (Patricia) Basch of Eagan, MN. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Robert, Christina, Leanna, Peter and Laura, her sister Audrey Dulmes of Fox Point, her brother-in-law John Meyer of Sheboygan Falls, cousins: Christine Goldthwaite and Tom, Bill, Michael, Chris and Sarah Drilias, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry, sister Flossie Meyer, brother Tom Turk and brother-in-law Gary Dulmes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 822 New Jersey Ave. in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 - 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Greendale Cemetery beside Henry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
