Eileen Brandt

Eileen K. Brandt, age 62, passed away on May 24, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born to the late Edgar and Viola (Egeland) Lerohl on April 15, 1955 in Fosston, MN. She graduated high school in Oklee, MN. After high school, she worked as a CNA and performed in-home healthcare. In 1989, she relocated to Elkhart Lake with her family. She worked for the county as a CNA at Rocky Knoll and Sunny Ridge Nursing Homes. Eileen married Jerry Brandt on August 29, 1997. In 1998, she graduated from LTC College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at Sunny Ridge and later Rocky Knoll. Eileen retired in 2011 from Rocky Knoll nursing home. Eileen enjoyed her regular trips with Jerry to the casino, Red Lobster and Olive Garden. She looked forward to her yearly trip back home to Minnesota to visit friends and family. Eileen had a special fondness and love of animals, especially horses. In the fall, she spent weeks in Wisconsin Dells with family, enjoying all that the area had to offer. Traveling with Jerry was important to her. Trips to visit her high school friends in Oklee were very important to her, and she treasured time spent with them. She was the best mom and grandmother, with a special tenderness in her heart. She never had a bad word for anyone, and was sincerely and genuinely compassionate. She was well liked by her colleagues she worked with. She was more worried about everyone else than herself; always putting others first. She spoiled her grandchildren to no end, and loved them very much.
Eileen is survived by her husband of almost 20 years, Jerry Brandt; 5 children: Josh (Crystal) Brownell, Adam (Jennifer Aimers) Brownell, Ginny (Tom) Wassink, Shawn Brandt, and Holly Brandt; 14 grandchildren: Ethan Wassink, Ben Wassink, Victor Brandt, Monique Brandt, Angelo Rossett, Taylor Brownell, Bella Brandt, Owen Brownell, Ariel Brandt, Allisha Brownell, Caidence Brownell, Emily Harris, AJ Brownell, Lauren Harris; 3 siblings: John (JoAnn) Lerohl, Carol (Verl) Sanders, Ginny (Orlean) Stoneouse; mother-in-law Harriet Brandt; 3 sisters-in-laws, Bonnie (Chet) James, Elaine Patnaude, Carol (Marvin) Kummer; many nieces and nephews, and her best friends, Kathy Buttner and Mary Marquis.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may visit at Zimmer-Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd, Sheboygan, on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. Eileen will be laid to rest at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center.

She will always be in our hearts. Eileen was a phenomenal person who will be sorely missed by all.
