Earl O. Goedeke, age 80, of Howards Grove passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at his home.
He was born on December 17, 1939, in Sheboygan to the late Robert and Margaret (Damrow) Goedeke. He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School. Earl proudly served his country in the Marine Corps. On June 1, 1963, Earl married Jan Grosshuesch in Waukegan, IL. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. Earl was employed at Schultz Sav-O Stores as a truck driver.
Earl was an active member of Howards Grove Rod & Gun Club for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, spending the winters in Florida, and making memories with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Jan; children, Kerry Goedeke, Lisa Goedeke, Karla (Rick) Hameister; grandchildren, Jessica (Ben) Klingberg and Brian (Katy) Hameister; a great grandchild Henry Klingberg; sisters, Jude (Bill) Berray and Tina Hayner; a sister-in-law Mary Goedeke and in-laws, Gail, Carol (Neil), Ellen (Ken), Melanie (Paul), and Mark (Sue). Other nieces, nephews, family and friends further survived.
Along with his parents, Earl was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Goedeke, sisters-in-law Jill (Jan) and Connie and a brother-in-law Bill.
A time of gathering for Earl will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 441 Millersville Avenue in Howards Grove from 1 PM until 3 PM. A private graveside service will take place at a later date in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Earl's name.
