Donna Dehne, 69, of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2022, at Aurora BayCare Hospital in Green Bay after a brief illness. Donna was born on March 26, 1953, in Sheboygan to the late Edgar and Jeanette (Gierke) Bunge.
Donna was a graduate of Howards Grove High School. She was an incredibly loyal and hard worker, working in her early years at the H.C. Prange company in Sheboygan, and then enjoying a 31-year career at Wal-Mart in Manitowoc until her recent retirement in 2021. She enjoyed her work very much and valued the relationships and people she worked with. She will certainly be remembered for her work ethic and dedication.
On July 17, 1976, she married Dale Dehne in Cleveland, WI. That marriage gave Donna what she always said was her most cherished gifts, her two sons and their families. She loved her family and ended most every communication with them with “you know I would do anything for you”. She made birthdays and holidays special, especially for her grandchildren, showering them with gifts and always having a special cake made just for them. She would never come empty-handed to any family get together, often with her specialty…Donna’s cheesecake.
Donna is survived by her sons, Nathan (Melissa) Dehne of St. Cloud, MN, and Carl (Jody) Dehne of Waterford, WI; 6 grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma, Samuel, Lillyan, Leah, Lindsey; sister, Mary (Dennis) Beauvais, brother, Bruce (Kathy) Bunge, sister-in-law, Debra Housey Bunge, stepbrother, Rodney (Rena) Arnhoelter, step-sister, Vicki (Lee) Wallander, and step-sister-in-law, Julie (Ken) Wolf. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dear pet, Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, stepmother, Arlyle Bunge, brother, Brian Bunge, sister-in-law, Betty Bunge, and step-brother-in-law, Charles Arnhoelter.
In honor of Donna’s wishes, a private memorial is being planned with Zimmer’s Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center assisting the family. If you would like to leave a message of sympathy for Donna’s family, please visit www.zimmerfuneralhome.com.
The family is tremendously grateful for the exceptional care provided by the Aurora BayCare Hospital, specifically the ICU nurses and doctors. The family asks that memorials in Donna’s name be offered by sharing a kindness with someone in need.
I'm going to miss that smile
I'm going to miss you my friend
Even though it hurts the way it ended up
I’d do it all again.
