Donald L. Dahm, age 70, of Plymouth went to be with his Lord on June 21, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Donald was born in Port Washington on February 25, 1948 to the late Michael and Julia (Ruppert) Dahm. He attended local schools and graduated from Random Lake High School. Before serving his country, Donald was employed at Krier Preserving in Belgium and also worked on the family farm. Donald was united in marriage to Constance Lubach and they had three daughters together. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Plymouth.
In 1983, Donald met the love of his life, Mary Jo Lodes and together they purchased the farm that they currently operate. Farming meant everything to Donald and he took great pride in his land. He was well known for handing down his knowledge to the young children who came to work on the farm. They all became family to Donald and that companionship meant the world to him. He enjoyed going to farming auctions and teaching his grandkids the ropes of the land. He looked forward to his Sunday morning breakfast and coffee.
Donald is survived by Mary Jo; two daughters, Bobbie Lynn (Sean) Corrigan of Whittenburg and Betty Lee Dahm of Elkhart Lake; a son Christopher (Melissa) Lodes of Plymouth; ten grandchildren, Shane, Brooke, Seth, Brandon, Nicholas, Shilah (David), Christine (Dane), Julia, Lily and Ava; four brothers, Clarence (Nancy), Roger, Gary (Lori) and Dennis; one sister Monica (Peter) Deheck. Other family and friends further survive.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Billie Jo and brothers, Douglas, Richard and James.
A memorial service for Donald will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel United Church of Christ (W3694 Cty Rd FF,Plymouth) with Rev. Laura Yurs officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 AM, at church, until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. Donald will be laid to rest at the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Donald's name.
The family would like to personally thank the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their care and compassion through the difficult time. A special thanks to the volunteer veterans that did a special pinning ceremony for Donald a few days before he passed. That meant more than you could imagine. The family would also like to thank Donald's longtime friends, Karl and Arnie Knoener for being such a great support system.
