We are heartbroken by the sudden passing of my husband, our dad, son and brother David J Mueller, age 58, of Sheboygan, on June 17, 2023 in his sleep at the home he built and loved. He was born June 1, 1965 in Sheboygan to Kenneth and Mae (Eickhoff) Mueller. David graduated from Sheboygan South High School with the Class of 1983 and furthered his education by receiving his degree as an Auto Collision Repair Technician from Lakeshore Technical College in Sheboygan.
Our David was an example of commitment and persistence in every endeavor he took. He was an amazing father as everyone witnessed. People would always comment about his dedication to our children. He was our real-life Superman. He knew how to fix and do every project with precision and care. He exercised regularly, and he even looked younger than his age. I am thankful for precious teachings of self-discipline that have been passed on to our children. He was an exemplary entrepreneur. David was the owner of Dave’s Auto Sales and Corporate Cars of Wisconsin. He attended auto auctions weekly and never missed a Wednesday at Manheim Milwaukee Auto Auction. He was also a heavy metal music promoter in the late 80’s and early 90’s and owned Madhouse Productions. He loved attending concerts. David was recently getting involved with real-estate investments as well.
He was an oak tree taking care of his family’s needs. He was a peacemaker and enjoyed the simplest things in life. His favorite moments were being in the sunshine tending his garden. He had a true passion for baseball, and loved going to Brewers games and tailgating with family and friends. He was a great cook, always waiting for everyone to eat before he took his first bite. He loved going to Cancun. His eyes would light up when he would talk about retiring there one day. He was a pet lover to the core until his last day.
We married very much in love on May 22, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. There are no words to describe the profound hole we feel in our hearts from this sudden loss. While we know that this life is temporary and that one day we will meet again, we feel devastated by not enjoying his presence.
He was a loving husband and dad and is survived by his wife Elba, children, Athena (Kyle) Holfeltz, Cassandra Mueller, Valentina and David Mueller II, grandpa to Isadora McDaniel, and Liam and Stella Holfeltz. He loved his mom Mae Mueller, his sister Sherri Mueller, brothers Ken (Amy) Mueller and Jon Mueller.
He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in the automotive industry. He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 5:30 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. Sheboygan, with Pastor Timothy Mech officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the FUNERAL HOME.
